Public Provident Fund

The Public Provident fund is a savings and tax savings scheme offered by the Government of India. These funds cannot be opened jointly and you will have to deposit a minimum of 100 rupees when you open the account. The amount deposited through the year has to be at least a minimum of 500, rupees and can be a maximum of 1,50,000 INR. PPF accounts can be opened at any nationalised, authorised bank and authorised branches / post offices.
